A lot of re-sellers don't even list the publication date, and I believe someone just published a reprint last year.

Of my two editions, the second contains all of the same drafts and photos with some additional ones too. The information is different though, so personally, I will probably try to collect all the editions I can get my
hands on!Leighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02435811789823712254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26055463.post-75368292503164798832009-04-17T14:25:00.000-05:002009-04-17T14:25:00.000-05:00I used this book in college years ago and wanted t...I used this book in college years ago and wanted to obtain my own copy. The latter, especially, lacks a great deal of material present in several earlier and later editions. AFAIK, the 2nd revised edition, published in 1979 or 1980, has the most information.JoOwlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13377897185426564363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26055463.post-70840846926227394742009-02-25T04:14:00.000-05:002009-02-25T04:14:00.000-05:00Thanks for this comparison. I've got a 1937 copy, same as your 1944.

The most disappointing purchase I've made was a book that turned out to have been re-bound with 60 pages missed out of the middle - and it was an interesting chapter on colour and weave. I'd not have noticed if I hadn't wanted to read that chapter! I got a part refund from the seller, and eventually found another copy.Dorothyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06488670649558382921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26055463.post-56712938712716910862009-02-22T10:20:00.000-05:002009-02-22T10:20:00.000-05:00I had heard that there were major differences in t...I had heard that there were major differences in the various reprints of this book.
